frito58 Posted August 5, 2014 #26 Share Posted August 5, 2014 Now if they just would come into the real world and not make both people buy it and don't give me the lectures on cheating not everyone in the world drinks . RCI somehow manages to make it work for one person to buy it.

ChaplainPagne Posted August 5, 2014 #29 Share Posted August 5, 2014 (edited) I just wish you didn't have to have it for everyone in the cabin - my wife doesn't drink at all so it just doesn't make sense for me to get it...although I understand why they do it that way. Great new deal though for sure! Edited August 5, 2014 by ChaplainPagne

keelyhealthnut Posted August 5, 2014 #34 Share Posted August 5, 2014 Wow! This is great news! I may not be able to resist it now! :) We were planning on pre-purchasing a bottle of vodka and mixing it with various juices from Lido, but being able to get fun mixed drinks and scotch/beer for my husband sounds pretty nice. Izzybee Posted August 5, 2014 #37 Share Posted August 5, 2014 From Canival FAQ: CHEERS package prices range from $165-$300 per person/per voyage (including up to 8 day durations) depending on the length of the cruise. Taxes and gratuities are additional. Yaaaaaay! Nearly $200 off seals the deal for us... We were going to go without but this makes it possible :)
Laurie S. Posted August 5, 2014 #38 Share Posted August 5, 2014 That's a savings of $632 for us! With the lower price, we won't wait until the second day to buy. Yay!
Lovefuninthesun Posted August 5, 2014 #39 Share Posted August 5, 2014 Its on Carnivals website under FAQ They must have changed it within the last hour! That's great!:D
Lovefuninthesun Posted August 5, 2014 #40 Share Posted August 5, 2014 THis is an awesome change and makes the program affordable -- kudos, Carnival! Assuming that perhaps more folks will purchase Cheers now, wonder if this will change in any way the drinking patterns and/or service on the ship? MMastell Posted August 5, 2014 #41 Share Posted August 5, 2014 Its on Carnivals website under FAQ How about a link. It does not give pricing under Cheers Beverage Program in the FAQ section. Take care, Mike

KLD1019 Posted August 5, 2014 #44 Share Posted August 5, 2014 The rule has always been that you could either:- purchase on Day 1 (embarkation) -- would be for 7 days - purchase on day 2 -- would be for 6 days, which would mean you would have to buy drinks a la carte on embarkation day. Interested to see if that is still the case, or if you MUST purchase on Day 1 only. Except if you leave out of Galveston, Texas on a Sunday. Texas liquor laws do not allow purchase of liquor on sundays, so you'd have to buy it the 2nd day. which sucks, cause the 1st day you easily rack up $300 in drinks! (at least, we did LOL)
Disconnections Posted August 5, 2014 #45 Share Posted August 5, 2014 I just wish you didn't have to have it for everyone in the cabin - my wife doesn't drink at all so it just doesn't make sense for me to get it...although I understand why they do it that way. nurseamanda Posted August 5, 2014 #49 Share Posted August 5, 2014 How about a link. It does not give pricing under Cheers Beverage Program in the FAQ section. Take care, Mike http://www.carnival.com/Core/FAQ.aspx?faq=beverage It doesn't give the breakdown of prices/days like in this post, but it clearly says between $165-300 per person per cruise
