Received Free Cruise While On-Board in Casino

Was on Victory last week. Nice cruise overall-- ship' screw fabulous, food some of the best we have had on a cruise (not the best anywhere that is to say, but very good overall) and lots of fun.

I am usually a Poker Pro player, but the machine had endless problems and I switched to Blackjack. Not sure what my average bet was, but we were winning so it gradually increased to where I was betting 2 hands of $50.00 for quite awhile. Maybe 8-10 hours of play the whole cruise.

Now, others around me were bigger players... But... The last night of the cruise I was approached by the casino host who gave me a letter. It was addressed to me specifically. Free 3-5 night cruise, in an inside, to use before 9/30/14.

Absolutely free--but had to be booked within two weeks.

I did NOT earn the 'Drinks on Us' card, like my wife did... But I did get the cruise!

Just sharing the info!

Congrats on the free cruise!! I was looking into going on a cruise myself and when I called Carnival the woman on the phone told me that I have a free inside cabin from the casino. I was shocked because the last time I was able to cruise was back in 2010 and although I do gamble it isn't a lot. I think this was there way of trying to get me back. Well IT WORKED :D We booked a cruise but upgraded to a great cabin. Really looking forward it.

Congrats.

I have gotten the "free cruise" two times before (March and June cruise this year).

I won big on the November 2013 cruise and they gave me the letter too. Thought it was some sort of scam, but I really was free (except the port fees and taxes). I paid a total of $354 for my wife and I to go on a 8 day cruise to Curacao and Aruba. When you figure in my casino losses on that cruise, it really wasn't free, but when they gave me another letter, that was the real savings.

Paid an upgrade on the second one to Alaska for a balcony and only cost me a total of $1240 for 3 in a balcony.

Congrats! I'm going on the Victory in 2 weeks! I doubt I will spend much time in the casino as I don't like to lose money. Sure would be nice to win a free cruise tho! If you don't mind telling us how much did you win or lose? Did your loses pretty much pay for the "free" cruise?

Well, as I had said, I was only increasing my bets because we were winning. Got out of there about $1400.00 to the good.

I also got the free cruise letter. I will be on the sunshine this Saturday and only paid $464 for a balcony for the wife and myself. This was the 3rd time I got the letter. But I think they just want their money back. I won quite a bit in june.

So does it seem that winners get the free cruises more than losers, perhaps to get their money back? Did you win the other times you got a letter?

I will be on my first Carnival cruise in a few weeks, so am wondering. I have sailed on several other lines, and never got free anything regardless of whether I won or lost in the casinos.

We booked our current cruise because of a Casino rate offer both my wife and I received. Asked our friends (Rod and Nadine) who cruised with us on the Liberty if they wanted to join us, we would book two cabins and they could get the same discounted rate.

Called my PVP to book and she told me Nadine had a FREE cruise offer. Apparently, she snuck off to the casino one night by herself for five hours and lost quite a bit . She never said anything about it until I told her about her free cruise deal. :D

P.S. Nadine did not get a letter on the ship, but got one mailed to her a few weeks before we booked, which she threw away thinking it was a scam.

Thanks. So it sounds like, win or lose, players can get the letters. Good to know!

We got a free cruise from the Casino as well, we were on the Glory in July and the last night they handed DH a letter, he didn't open it until when he got back to the cabin and saw what it was.

We are going on the Sunshine in a few weeks :)

So excited!!!
