dredawg Posted August 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2014 We will be docking in Belize from 8-5. Belize is 2 hours behind us so does the ship go onto Belize time overnight or stay on regular time....just wondering as our excursion has told me to make sure we have the right time. I'm assuming we will be going by the Belize clock but just want to make sure.

maxydu Posted August 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 11, 2014 Actually no.....you always stay on ships time. The excursion folks know to use ships time. Don't worry; it always works out.....
montekat Posted August 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2014 Always stay on the ship's time. They arrive and depart on the ship's time, no matter which country they go to.
screwsmcernst Posted August 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2014 ALWAYS stay on ship time. If you have an independent excursion, talk to them about excursion time verses ship time, and make corrections if necessary. It is better to miss the excursion, then the ship. :D

CRUZBUDS Posted August 11, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 11, 2014 (edited) Carnival stays on ship time. Doesn't matter what port you are in Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app That is not always true -- it depends on the itinerary. When we were in Rotaan last year at a private island type excursion -- there were several clocks around. One labeled Conquest and the other was another ship's name -- there were two in port. We were on Central and the other ships was on Eastern -- didn't know the real local time Edited August 11, 2014 by CRUZBUDS

Bookbug53 Posted August 11, 2014 #10 Share Posted August 11, 2014 You may be asked to change time and there will be announcements in the fun times and on large posters around the ship. You may then be in sync with the port. But always keep your watch set to ship's time so you will know when to get back. Other times the ship's time and port time may be off by an hour or more. Clarify all times with the excursion and make sure they are aware of the difference.

mistycruiser Posted August 13, 2014 #15 Share Posted August 13, 2014 It's always ship's time with Carnival and also they only time I actually wear a wrist watch so I can be sure and not get confused between ship or local time.
