Mongolian Wok (every day) and the Wild Mushroom Soup;) Pink

Ugh! I love mushroom EVERYTHING! On my last cruise I had the wild mushroom soup and I had my first allergic reaction to food. My throat closed up and I had to go to the medical room where they gave me a shot in the rear and put me on a nebulizer.

The Maitre’D checked on me later that night and had the recipe delivered to my room – but it was about 3 pages long and I have NO IDEA what caused the reaction.

Sad that I have to avoid it….but definitely not worth the outcome!

It was very good though…before the lack of oxygen set in. 

A few favorites:

The prime rib on formal night

The warm chocolate melting cake with ice cream (Not a huge chocolate fan, but I liked it.)

The panko shrimp

I always have omelets from the omelet station on the lido deck in the mornings…mushroom & cheese.

We never order room service... where else can I find this! Sounds SO good!!!

I'm pretty sure this is the only way to get it.

If I had seen it anywhere else, I would have been all over it!

Ahi Tuna Tartare appetizer from the steak house

Anything from the Mongolian Wok with the medium sauce (Thai BBQ, I think)

Oddly enough, the hot dogs from the grill with chili

Shrimp salad sandwich from room service

Lobster anywhere :)

Any of the hot soups - I love their soup!

And the mushrooms you can get on the side in the steak house

The lemon bread/cake thing in the bread basket at the Sea Day Brunch

Braised short ribs. Prime rib. Crab cakes. The deli corned beef and pastrami sandwiches

I am very surprised to see how people selected items from the room service menu. I have never ordered room service in all of my cruises. Guess I am going to have to give it a try

- Blue Iguana's chicken taco - ate everyday! :D

- Blue Iguana's steak burrito - ate everyday! :D

- Crispy bacon - ate everyday! :o

- Chocolate chip cookies - from the buffet (the ones I got from room service tasted burnt :()

- Oatmeal-raisin-nut cookies - from the buffet

They have the cookies out only at lunch not at dinner time, What's up with that! Had my husband stay up with me past 11:30 just so I could get some chocolate chip cookies from the late snack area.

Thanks to this thread I have to try somethings, lol

- Chicken quesadilla, Where is that?

- NY strip steak sandwich from room service

Love the cookies too, even the ones that maybe are called sugar. Question -where at night are the cookies located -main buffet, or some other service area. Thanks
