what to if you are not a beach person?

4 of us will be stopping in Ocho Rios in Nov. All of us are in our 60s. Our friends are not swimmers and none of us want to just sit at a beach all day. Not interested in zip lines or horseback riding. Any suggestions for tours or things to do?

Check out what your ship is offering for shore excursions. Normally, there are some that go to plantations. Martha Brea Rafting is also one to consider.

We did a dune buggy tour on Good Hope plantation. That was ok, but we saw that people on our bus were heading to the plantation for a Jamaican lunch. It looked pretty enjoyable and they all seemed happy. The grounds are beautiful.

If you are not into water activities, a nice place to visit in Jamaica is Mystic Mountain we did an excursion that combined part of this attraction with Dunn River falls (also cool, but not if you do not swim).

 

There are canopy ziplines, a bobsled ride (think alpine slide), as well as an aerial tram that takes you up and back. There are also some garden areas you can explore and other natural attractions.

 

Shore Excursion group offers some combo tours there from Ochos Rio that includes transportation to and from your ship.
