.....don't become a "Pier Runner" on Friday. It's a real buzz kill.

Also, go on your roll call and the Bermuda board. Both great suggestions.

We've done Jet Skis at Somerset Bridge Watersports and will be renting a pontoon boat from them in 2 weeks. We have gone to Coco Reef Resort and will be doing it again in 2 weeks.

Horseshoe Bay, wandering around in Hamilton and the Segway excursion from NCL just to name a few others.

Have a good trip.

Hope this helps.

Don't be a chair hog.

Do find Jeffery over at Maltings on the waterfront deck. He was our favorite bar server!

Definitely try out the ropes course if you are able bodied enough! Make sure you wear long enough shorts ( not those teeny tiny type with no inseam) and sneakers or they will turn you away! The plank is exhilarating!

Hi,

I will be cruising on the Breakaway on September 7th. What are some do's and dont's. Any tips/information I should know? I appreciate any information. Even any info you can give me on Bermuda.:)

Thank you!

Do .

Join your roll call .

Attended your Meet and Greet .

Get the officer's phone numbers and use them if you have any problems aboard the ship . They can and will fix almost any problem .

Do not .

Don't wait till your home to complain about anything . Do it on the ship . :D

Find Doncho, the best bar waiter on the ship. He's on deck 15 by the pool during the day.

At night he's outside by Malting's.

Great guy and a very hard worker.

He looks like Johnny Knoxville with his Ray Ban sunglasses on.

Have fun!!!

Do....

ditto on Coco Reef for a day (reserve in advance..no payment necessary at time of booking)

the lobster roll at the stand on the waterfront (only open for a few hours on sea days).

ditto on attending your meet and greet. It saved me a bunch of issues with special diets during the trip just because I got to speak directly with Food and Beverage officers.

Don't...

accept a spa treatment in room 15 as it's directly under the weight room and shakes/thuds each and every time someone above drops a weight on the floor

Absolutely do...

have the greatest time!!!

Do a Rising Son Catamaran excursion. You can book with NCL or at the little pink hut, Island Tour Center.

Do go to the south shore beaches and walk the trails and coves in between Horseshoe Bay Beach and Warwick Long Bay Beach.

Do take a ferry ride. They are fun!!

Do the Martini Tasting.

Do NOT sit on your balcony when the crew power wash the glass on the first day docked. They warn you, but sometimes they don't always see you until it's too late! They almost got my son good.

Have fun!

We are planning on going again next year.

DO:

*Ropes Course, if you are able and adventurous.

*Free Fall water slide, if your are able and a thrill-seeker.

*Consider ordering the Wagyu Sliders (appetizer) at Cagney's, if choosing to dine there.

*Spend as much time as possible off the ship while in Bermuda. It's a wonderfully superb place with much more to offer than initially imagined.

*Martini Tasting event, if that is of interest.

*Have a totally fun vacation cruise! :)

.

DON'T:

*Let yourself be fooled buy an extremely ignorant design on this ship, where three separate landings on the forward stairwell have a 'faux' stair built in the carpet, making you think there is another step that doesn't actually exist. Multiple people will trip, stumble, fall, or totally biff themselves until they figured out what's going on. Wouldn't be cool to injure yourself at the start of your sailing. :(

Thanks for the head's up! I would be one of those who tripped and fell- darned bifocals LOL!

Always use the stairs rather than the lifts. The calories burnt justify the feeding/drinking frenzy at the top of the stairs. You'll be surprised how much easier it gets over the course of the week.

We never use the lifts (apart from when first boarding when the crew member escorts us up to Haven - can't really ask them to walk up too!)
