Hi! Can you have a look at this formal and tell me what you think? I love the dress, but am unsure of the colour. Blonde hair, well sun tanned..will I or wont I suit it?
I have two formal nights on this one week cruise in May and thinking of buying this for a change. Opinions girls please!

The dress is beautiful and the color would be very flattering. Only negative comment I have is I do not think it did much for the model's bust. Probably just the angle of the photo. But nevertheless an absolutely stunning dress. It would have been nice if the stole was able to be purchased too.

I think it is great!

As long as it is not gold, you're probably okay. I wore a gold formal when I had blonde highlights and was really tanned and I looked like an oscar statue! Too golden!

It's a great dress, I may have to snag me one, if the seller has others!

I think the dress style and color is really pretty, and the color would be really good on you, but have to agree with Seagull about the bustline...it looks as though it would do nothing to flatter you, might even smash you into having the appearance of a uni-boob, and that look is not one that is desireable on anyone. The only thing I would add is I have read posts from others that have worn dresses with a train and said that people were stepping on their dress all night long. That could be a problem. Sissy

Holly, The dress is beautiful.......I love the color. Just thought I would mention I purchased a "Mermaid Style" dress a few years back it looks so great on BUT it is very hard to walk in because of the style and forget about trying to cross your leggs. I only wore it once. It was hard to dance in too.

I only wish I could get by with a dress like that! Anyway, wouldn't a strapless bra help define her bustline moreso than what the model in the picture looks like? I don't think the model is wearing any.... support....

Cruiseforever, the bodice of the frock is already boned both in the front and the back which should give the support needed. Maybe adding a strapless bra would help but that would be an awful lot of hardware to lug around.

Thanks all!
I still really like it but am unsure about the bust. I remember my gold dress, similar style, flattened my bust. I also DO need a strapless bra, dont trust anything to hold up these boobs! I love train on dresses. One of my red dresses has a train, but as Sissy says there are problems and I usually spend the night moaning at Vincent as he constantly stands on it . I dont want to take the plain red dress this time, I will take my burnt orange and black dress, and I also have a few other formals, but I really wanted a change. I am waiting on P and O telling me whether or not there is a black and white ball on this cruise. If there is, I will buy a new B&W dress, if not, I want something in a new colour, NOT red or black as this dominates my wardrobe. I missed that lilac dress I liked, and now wish maybe I had bought it. There are a few sellers on e-bayuk with brand new formals so will keep any eye. Still like this one though, maybe my wee clydebank lady could put darts in bust and give it definition?
Teal..it is a greeny blue isnt it?

This is a gorgeous gown. Have to go along with everyone else on the bust thing, though. Holly, you might be right on with having darts put in. I personally can barely sew on a button, but I bet a seamstress could do it.

Pastels are so big here for spring (if we ever actually get spring).

Hi Holly...beautiful dress

Teal can come in various shades...it can be in the green family...with even more shades...and it can come in the blue family....it really is one of those colors that is "special"....in the sense of matching up with other things.

Did that make sense?...there is a "teal green"...and a "teal blue".

Next up...HORIZON Sept 18th to Bermuda!

The material is irridescent and will change color from green to blue then back again, just gorgeous. If you buy it and get the Bankie woman to fix it I would have her sew in a push up strapless one and then you will be done with it.

Auction ended due to "buy it now"..ah well...twas not to be. If I find out now there is no black and white night, I will be cross with myself for not buying this!GRRRR
Jean thats a great idea about getting a bra sewn in. I have other dresses where this will be great, I think I will ask her to do them for me on my other stuff. I always buy strapless bras too tight coz I am scared they fall down, and then by the end of the night I have red welts on my rib cage! This is a great idea, thanks!

Ah, well, one door closes, another opens. Or something like that. Maybe it was fate and you'll find something even better!
