wee-haggis Posted September 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2014 We are going on the Crown Princess in a week or so. Is it possible to arrange (in advance....through MY CRUISE website perhaps) to have certain fruits delivered to our cabin each day ? or should it be done upon embarkation ? You do it with the card in your stateroom. Also, may I suggest you delete your sailed cruises from your sig line or you won't be able to add new ones. wee-haggis Posted September 7, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted September 7, 2014 Thanks for the swift reply. Do you mean I have too many cruises to fit in the signature box ?
Pia1913 Posted September 7, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2014 Thanks for the swift reply. Do you mean I have too many cruises to fit in the signature box ? Yes. It will only hold six. And now you have six. So delete the old stuff to make way for the new. :D

Cruisin' Chick Posted September 7, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 7, 2014 You can delete your countdown clocks and just list the cruises (if you want them listed). Takes up less space.
OCruisers Posted September 8, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 8, 2014 Back to your fruit. Just fill out the card in your cabin with the fruit you wish. We love that option so we don't get fruits we are unlikely to eat. :) LuLu
Putterdude Posted September 8, 2014 #8 Share Posted September 8, 2014 Dudette and I enjoy a banana each morning before breakfast so we just fill in the card each evening and hang it on our cabin door. There is is a number of fruits available such as bananas, apples, kiwi, and........

FawnRiver Posted September 8, 2014 #10 Share Posted September 8, 2014 We will be on our first princess cruise in nov. So r u guys saying the room steward puts fruit in ur room daily with us asking? If so that is really cool Sent from my SCH-R740C using Forums mobile app As other posters have noted, you just complete the form left in your stateroom every night and they'll bring you the fruit you requested. Just bear in mind, if you're planning on taking the fruit off the ship with you, there are some ports where that isn't allowed. Last time we were at Cozumel, I was bag searched coming off the ship and had to resist the urge to pet the fruit sniffing dog further down the dock. wee-haggis Posted September 8, 2014 Author #11 Share Posted September 8, 2014 Thanks for all the replies. One further question, when you say "leave the card out each night", is the fruit delivered that same night or is it the following morning ? I like to eat my fruit in the evening :)
Lerin Posted September 8, 2014 #12 Share Posted September 8, 2014 Is this not the same fruit that is available at the buffet?
JF - retired RRT Posted September 8, 2014 #13 Share Posted September 8, 2014 Is this not the same fruit that is available at the buffet? It is basically the same fruit, but sometimes I have asked for fruit that I hadn't seen in the buffet and it magically appeared in the cabin. wee-haggis Posted September 8, 2014 Author #14 Share Posted September 8, 2014 From what I've seen in past cruises, the buffet typically has apples, bananas and maybe pears or oranges.....but rarely grapes, strawberries, cantaloupe, kiwi or others (even although I know they are onboard being served at other restaurants). I can't speak for Princess ships though since this is my first.
Pia1913 Posted September 8, 2014 #15 Share Posted September 8, 2014 Hang the card outside your door or give it to your steward. The only fruit we ever request is grapes; seedless. And those are not one of the options; seedless or otherwise. So I write it in. If they have them, we get them.

Most fruits except bananas are good for about a week. :) LuLu
