Dwalkerdave Posted September 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2014 (edited) Hi everyone, only cruised with Princess and RCI outside school hols time. Considering cruise next year but just how bad/good is P&O Ventura during school summer hols ? We would have a 13 year old with us. Comments please from those who have travelled at this time of year in UK. Thanks Edited September 7, 2014 by Dwalkerdave
wilson2579 Posted September 7, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2014 My husband and I have sailed twice in the school holidays on Ventura. There were lots of children on board (500 +) but all very well behaved. The kids clubs keep them really well occupied and all seemed to have lots of fun. I am sure your 13 year old will have a ball. Remember Ventura sailing out of Southampton next year will be different than this year with the fly cruising. Thejuggler Posted September 7, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2014 It very much depends where you are going. Med will have hundreds of children, Fjords far far fewer. Even though we have an 8 year old, 500-600 children on board Ventura wouldn't be our first choice. IMHO the ship has far too little open deck space for the number of passengers wanting to use it in warm weather.
kevinyork Posted September 9, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 9, 2014 It does depend on the itiniary, but if its the Med then expect lots of kids. Whilst the kids clubs do a good job, there simply isnt enough space for another 500 passengers (kids). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
