JZenkow Posted August 15, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2005 We are scheduled for main seating at 6:30. The ship is scheduled to leave Barcelona at 7:oo pm. How is dining room handled first day? Will we eat while leaving port? Is there a change in time for the First day? Thanks
Jimbo Posted August 15, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2005 Just a guess but most likely the Muster Drill will be about 6 or 630pm and the first dining seating will be pushed back right after that 7pm or 730pm, late seating would be 2 hours after the first one. WE have been at Dinner a few times when the ship has sailed away from port. It can happen, if it bothers you just skip the Dining Room that first night and use the WindJammers for dinner that first night. Jimbo:)
mamax4 Posted August 15, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 15, 2005 We also ahve been in the dining room as we're pulling away. It's actually very fun and feastive. Oh, consider too that you may not have your luggage (on the first day) by the time dinner starts so you might want to pack something in your carry on! atljoo Posted August 15, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 15, 2005 On most cruises, first seating passengers are dining while the ship is sailing out of a port. On Explorer, we sailed away from each port between 5:00 and 6:30 PM. The windows give you a small view, and like previous posters, it is quite festive in the dining room.
