zorrosuncle Posted September 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2014 My bad e-ticket says the status is "Open". What does that mean? And you are all correct. I wish I had used a travel agent. ZU
epixx Posted September 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2014 Are you skeptical about the poster's suggestion that "open" status indicates that the cruise line (HAL) has not yet actually issued your ticket? By the way, you did use a travel agent, i.e., HAL. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2095043
headhunterke Posted September 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2014 If you are referring to an airline ticket that has 'Open' as status, it means the ticket is still valid and ready for use. If you applied for a refund, that refund is not yet processed.
travelplus Posted September 28, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2014 An Open Ticket Coupon with a Status OK or HK(Holding Konfirmed) means the ticket has not been used and is valid for travel. If your status says Waitlisted or something else then there is a problem. After you have used each segment it will say Coupon"Closed or Flown". This is done when your boarding pass has been printed and scanned at the gate prior to boarding. The barcode tells the system to Close your segment. You cannot get any refunds for "Flown Segments" unless you were delayed. Once you have flown the first segment you can go to the airline for changes or to your travel agent. If you have not flown your first segment the airline will direct you for the most part to go to your travel agent for any changes or to cancel your reservation. I hope this helps.
