Help with choosing a cabin on Celebrity Eclipse

We are first time cruisers, and have decided to bite the bullet and book up for a Caribbean cruise on the Eclipse in November 2015. There are several cabins that are available within our price range, and I was wondering if anyone could give me any feedback if they have stayed in them. I'm wondering which is the best side of the ship to be on (does it really matter?), and I don't want to be placed above a smoking area but not sure how to find this out. Anyway the cabins we need to choose from are: 6156, 6157, 6160, 6161, 6164, 6165, 6168, 6169, 6172, 6240, 6244, 6247, 6251, 6252, 6255.

The odd numbered cabins are on the port side just above the smoking area on deck 5. Smoking might be an issue on some of them. The even numbered cabins are starboard, no smoking on that side

We had 6258 and 6260 on our Baltic cruise in August. Spent a lot of time on the balcony and never had an issue with cigarette smoke. And I HATE cigarette smoke. But go for a port side cabin if you want to be totally sure.

Smoking is NOT an issue...pick the closet to midships...easy and convenient.

Cabin 6156 seems to be bigger and has a bigger balcony. The only problem is that it is faced diagonally.
