Alwaysacruiseinthequeue Posted September 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2014 I need to find an arrangement where I can set up specific pick up/drop off times between the cruise port and the Turtle Farm. My elderly parents do better with set schedules on this so they don't have to worry about us flagging down a taxi, if we'll be picked up in time to get back the ship, much less riding a bus... Have any of you pre-booked transportation in this way? If so, with whom and how much did it cost? I have looked and looked and sent email after email and can't find anything solid to depend on. Thank you in advance!
April-in-NC Posted September 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2014 I think the easiest think would be to book a private tour. Your parents would meet them at the dock and they would dictate the time line for the day.

tidygirl Posted September 12, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 12, 2014 Have you checked on Trip Advisor under Grand Cayman and see if there is any highly rated tour guides? We did that on our last cruise and found 3 different guides that had great reviews in different ports that worked out great for us!
stompy Posted September 16, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2014 why not just book the Turtle Farm tour from the ship-they will pick them up right at the tender station and drive them to the venue and then pick them up in time to return to the ship
MCC retired Posted September 16, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 16, 2014 (edited) With the concerns stated by the OP , booking a ship tour is the best choice especially for a tender port such as GC. No way of knowing what time you will board a tender . The dock area can be a zoo also. Also, in case GC is skipped due to weather, wind or seas (which happens more often than you think) , the refund is immediate onboard.
