Northbound Alaska Cruisetour luggage

Hello, please forgive me if this has been asked and answered before. Will be on NCL Sun next year for a Northbound cruise tour. When debarking the ship for the tour portion, who handles the luggage? Will NCL take care of getting the luggage from the ship to the hotel, or will we have to get the luggage, go though customs and then NCL take to the first hotel? Do we keep the luggage until the first hotel.

(Cruise starting in Vancouver, I'm thinking we will be going through customs in Seward, Alaska)

Thanks

Not sure how they handle the luggage but when leaving from Vancouver to Seward, you go through US Customs in Vancouver since every stop is in the US.

Hope that helps.

Ya know, for whatever reason, that didn't occur to me. Some days.....:)

Thanks.

OK - you got the answer about baggage thru US Customs.

Further questions about what happens to CRUISE TOUR BAGGAGE contact

NCL or the Tour operator (Premier Tours ?).

If your cruise ends at Whittier or Seward and you are flying back to the

lower 48 you would be responsible for getting your baggage and yourself

to the Anchorage Airport or other venue - several options available.

If you are starting a 3-4-5 day land tour your baggage would generally

be taken care of until the first night hotel lodging check with the tour operator !

In most cases you are advised to keep a change of clothes medicines passport

documents cameras with you each leg of the tour - at night you will be living

out of your suitcase/luggage from night to night. The final night arrangements

are made for you the next day to transport you and baggage to the airport for

the flight home !

NB tour trips are just a mirror replay of the SB tours. I like the SB tours for the

ease and relaxation of not having to play the musical hotels and baggage drill

every night at the end - but to each his own. Something to be said for each.

YMMV - not everything goes exactly like this again check with the tour operator for the all un-inclusive details !

And in any event enjoy Alaska - whatever the weather throws at you - - -

I came - I saw - I explored - I will remember the trip forever and perhaps

go back for another visit ! HOPE THE MOUNTAIN IS OUT !

Thanks so much for the information. We will be doing a tour after the cruise. We were originally planning on booking a SB, then discovered NB was about $100.00 less. So we went NB and will spend a little time in Vancouver pre cruise.
