Royal vs REgal question

I was on the Royal last February and I loved it with a few minor exceptions. After my sailing I read here (I think) somewhere that based on reviews from the royal that some changes were being made to the Regal before completion. Just wondering if this is true, what if any changes were made or are they virtually same ship, different name.

It's the same ship... I believe Princess has added a very small aft pool on the Regal.

I have cruised aboard both ships. The only differences that I noticed on the Regal Princess were the addition of the (very small) aft pool and the windows in Princess Live (so that you can see into the room when you are walking by). Also, the fake palm trees near the pool have been replaced with tall columns that resemble shrubs.

 

I liked both ships.
