dataquatics Posted September 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2014 Hi Cruisers !! Wife and I will be cruising the Med next year, both Eastern & Western. I am a keen scuba diver and looking for tips on best places to dive there. Stops include Istanbul, Izmir, Mykonos, Santorini, Dubrovnik, Split, Barcelona, Palma De Mallorca, Naples, Cannes. Any tips / suggestions appreciated. Cheers from Australia !! Greg
Av8tor Posted September 19, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2014 Cruised the Adriatic this spring on Regal Princess's inaugural cruise. I couldn't find much (if any) scuba info on these boards, but try researching "activities" at each port location on tripadvisor.com; I had some luck there. We had private land excursions planned at most of our ports (gotta see the old world ruins) so diving wasn't in the cards at those spots. I did do a 2-tank dive at our Mykonos stop. I can highly recommend "Go Dive Mykonos" there. They were reasonably priced, included all equipment and provided transportation to and from the port. Both dive sites were very close to their beachside location and the dives (1 reef and 1 wreck) were very nice with very good visibility. Good luck
Podie Posted September 26, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 26, 2014 There is an amazing dive very close to Naples (just north) called Baiae Park. Spelling might be wrong, google diving in Naples.
MTElkwhistle Posted September 30, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 30, 2014 I found a dive school just near the old city of Dubrovnik for DS but he decided he would rather do a Game of Thrones tour instead. Google diving Dubrovnik.
