RICO72 Posted September 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2014 Just been on Vessel Finder and seen Oceana take a turn to starboard - direct line to Vigo. Medical emergency, bad weather - anyone know why as it's not scheduled ?
Rare Host Sharon Posted September 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2014 Most likely it is a medical emergency.
davecttr Posted September 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 17, 2014 She is underway again but was in port for at least 30 minutes. IIRC when we had a medical emergency on Thomson Majesty we dashed back to Pireus and were away again in a few mins. That was a young lady with appendicitis, hopefully she is now well and back in Oz. Wavebreakers Posted September 17, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2014 My mum is on this cruise and telephoned this evening to say they called into Vigo due to a medical emergency on board.
Rare nellydean Posted September 24, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 24, 2014 We were onboard in August and were an hour and a half out of La Coruna when we had to turn back for a medical emergency - the captain was very good in explaining it. Didn't have any impact on our next port. We also had three code alerts - the captain said two was rare, so don't know what he thought about three! Again, each time, he came on the intercom to say what had happened, to reassure everyone.
