OCEANA changing course ?

Just been on Vessel Finder and seen Oceana take a turn to starboard - direct line to Vigo. Medical emergency, bad weather - anyone know why as it's not scheduled ?

Most likely it is a medical emergency.

She is underway again but was in port for at least 30 minutes. IIRC when we had a medical emergency on Thomson Majesty we dashed back to Pireus and were away again in a few mins. That was a young lady with appendicitis, hopefully she is now well and back in Oz.

My mum is on this cruise and telephoned this evening to say they called into Vigo due to a medical emergency on board.

We were onboard in August and were an hour and a half out of La Coruna when we had to turn back for a medical emergency - the captain was very good in explaining it. Didn't have any impact on our next port.

 

We also had three code alerts - the captain said two was rare, so don't know what he thought about three! Again, each time, he came on the intercom to say what had happened, to reassure everyone.
