12grandkids Posted September 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2014 We have booked a Panama Canal cruise through Princess for Nov. 11, 2014. I mistakenly thought that Princess had transfers with LAX and LGB when I booked our air to LGB. Does anyone know the best (cheapest) way to get to the pier from LGB? There will be 5 of us. SadieN Posted September 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2014 You'd have to arrange a shuttle pickup. LGB is very small so there might not be a shuttle waiting for fares. Could take two cabs. taxifarefinder.com will give you an approximate fare. We've always found the estimate to be on the high side.
swedish weave Posted September 18, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 18, 2014 You can check Super Shuttle or Prime Time. You will probably need to make advance reservations from LGB if you use either of them.

It's a flat rate of $45 for a cab. http://www.lgb.org/travelers/transit.asp

swedish weave Posted September 18, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 18, 2014 Thank you!!! I will look into shuttle and taxi. I suggest also checking the price of a rental car with drop off at San Pedro.

Splinter Posted September 20, 2014 #8 Share Posted September 20, 2014 I suggest also checking the price of a rental car with drop off at San Pedro. The only rental car company that is located near (not at) the pier in San Pedro is Enterprise, and they have a pretty hefty drop fee for any rental not started at their location. I would stick to Supershuttle, and book either a shuttle van or their town car service.
