RSLeesburg Posted September 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2014 We will be cruising over Thanksgiving and stopping at PC, and some people on my roll call were wondering if the WDW hotels or parks would be decorated for Christmas that early. I was down in early December, and I can remember the Mickey Christmas party starting that week, but not sure if this happens after Thanksgiving or before. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Cruise Critic Forums mobile app
Loonbeam Posted September 19, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2014 Some will but possibly not all. The Xmas party starts Nov 7 or so now so MK will probably be done but they may be finishing up some of the hotel and other parks at that point. houseofmouse Posted September 19, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2014 Hi we have been a few times around the beginning of November. Last year we went from 31/10 to 17/11. The first couple of days was Halloween then by around 7th all the christmas decs were up! Like already has been said, the only ones that might not be up too early are the decs in the hotels, like the large gingerbread decorations. Cedricandsophie Posted September 21, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 21, 2014 I'm pretty sure all the hotels will be decorated by then.
jlk806 Posted September 22, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 22, 2014 Most of it will be. We went down right after Thanksgiving last year. However, what makes it magical is the lights at night. Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. If youre going as a stop on a cruise you will most likely only be there during the daytime hours which will never do justice to the Holiday nighttime spectacular decorations and lights. TougherThanTheRest Posted September 28, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 28, 2014 (edited) Last year, we were there the week after Halloween. I can't recall the date, but sometime near the end of the 1st week on November, it was as though Christmas sprung as if by magic overnight in the parks. moki'smommy Posted September 28, 2014 #8 Share Posted September 28, 2014 We have always found the parks to be fully decorated by Thanksgiving week. They start right after halloween. And I'm here now. If you care, Not So Scary is amazing.
