ms8654 Posted September 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2014 Has anyone done the RCCL ship tour to St. Andrews while in Saint John, NB? I'm wondering how much free time there is once you get there. I've been to Saint John several times so I was hoping to do something new. Thanks. marie
maryann ns Posted September 20, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 20, 2014 I have not done the excursion. It is just over an hour's drive each way. St. Andrews is tiny so I would think you would have time to wander around (and drop money in the shops!) Does the excursion include lunch? That would tie up some time. ms8654 Posted September 20, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted September 20, 2014 No lunch. It's a 4 1/2 hour tour in total, so no food. The description only says limited shopping time available. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
Rare martincath Posted September 22, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 22, 2014 St Andrews has a fabulous German restaurant (in the Europa Inn), but otherwise is a launchpad for whale-watching tours and nothing else IMO. If you're a sucker for small British seaside towns, which is what it was designed as (the first such in Canada), you'll get more mileage - but forget shopping there. oreosmile Posted September 24, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 24, 2014 St. Andrews is a beautiful town, with some nice boutique shopping. Don't dismiss it so easily. http://www.standrewsbythesea.ca/visit/
declansdad Posted September 24, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 24, 2014 (edited) Not a lot of shopping in St. Andrews, you should have plenty of time. It is a beautiful spot though. Edited September 24, 2014 by declansdad
