kmbierworth Posted August 16, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2005 What does anyone think is the earliest to possibly book out of FLL for a Monday morning?
VacationNut Posted August 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2005 Hi There - I assume you mean getting off a ship and then the earliest flight you could make...... Well - we made a 9:30 a.m. BUT I DID NOT BOOK THIS. We were booked on the 11:30, but got through the airport security by 8:45 and they let us change to the earlier flight. I don't think I would ever risk booking something before 11:00 because I would be too worried that we would miss the flight.
Sascol Posted August 16, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2005 We have made flights as early as 9:45.....but if there are customs issues, you never know. We've ALWAYS been at the airport before 9:00.
kmbierworth Posted August 16, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted August 16, 2005 Thanks for the reassurance. I am hoping to make a 10:40 and I just wanted to verify that it could be done. I am a Diamond member so I am hoping that will help get my preferred debarkation time.
imsulin Posted August 16, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 16, 2005 Don't forget that on Monday mornings, you always get a lot of business travellers. Personally, I wouldn't do it. Those 10:40 a.m. flights are always cheaper than the later flights, too.

I checked that we were on a noon flight from FLL, and I was given WHITE tags (the earliest group called). We ate in the Windjammer at 6:00 AM, and were off the ship with luggage in tow by 7:15-7:30AM. Although customs can hit snags, if you communicate with the staff like they ask you to you should encounter few problems with your flight. Being a Monday, I would book a flight from 11:00 AM or later just so I wasn't panicked in the security line or traffic.
cruisinfanatic Posted August 16, 2005 #7 Share Posted August 16, 2005 FLL is a zoo and it gets worse all the time. I've made 10:30 flights years ago, but I'd never book anything before noon these days.
