ariawoman Posted September 28, 2014 #26 Share Posted September 28, 2014 (edited) I've been taking ginger capsules (550mg each, 2 with breakfast 2 with dinner or at night) on my past few cruises. I tried the sea bands, the patch, and meclizine to no help. Ginger seems to work for me. It does indeed thin blood. Ginger is also a natural anti-inflammatory. I take them for the duration of my vacation and sometimes even take them in everyday life to try to quell inflammation (which my body seems to have issues with). I haven't had the issues I had prior to taking ginger. We've had some slight seas but nothing insane - so I don't know if it's just that i've not been in rougher seas, or if they work. I do feel some issues still when in the MDR if the seas are rockings, for what it's worth. Edited September 28, 2014 by ariawoman
Jenna109 Posted September 28, 2014 #27 Share Posted September 28, 2014 I take crystallised ginger from supermarket and also carry ginger candies from health food shop - they have worked so far. Interestingly P&O left dishes of crystallised ginger on a tray as we left the dining room.
