2016 World Sectors - No hotel option before

Got the 2016 World Cruise brochure and could see no mention of hotel stays before joining World Sectors. We have done this before and liked this option.

Did a dummy booking for Singapore to Southampton and it says no hotel options before or after your cruise!!!

Can this be correct as want to stay in Singapore before joining cruise. May have to not book flight package with them and arrange flight and hotel inc. transfers myself. Bit nervous about that as prefer the old P&O system.

Can't actually help - except to say I suggest you give P & O a ring before you make any decisions and ask them. I know from a friend who has been on several world sectors that generally P & O are very helpful - possibly more so - for "world sector" cruisers! (not sure why but...!)

Or you might try a good Cruise specialist TA who deal with only ertain cruise lines - the Gold coin one is very good!

2016 WC is a long way off and P&O probably has not yet contracted its pre cruise/post cruise hotels. I think you will have to wait a while, good luck anyway.

I am looking into booking some hotels in UK next September/October in conjunction with our two P&O cruises, but few hotel booking sites have them up yet.

Personally and from experience of my travels around the world, I have done better by booking my own hotels, much better rate than using the Cruise Line's contracted hotels. For example, in February this year, we had 7 nights precruise in Bueno Aires before boarding Golden Princess around South America. I got a very good 4 star hotel for $90 per night, (Intersur at Recoleta) Princess cruises were wanting $200 per night for the same hotel. Admittedly my son is in the South American travel business and booked the hotel up for me.

When we booked 2014 world sector brochure had hotel names for ports of call and prices per night. This was in Sep 2012 so thought the same would be for this years brochure but they just list land tour options with hotels combined for Sydney, Cape Town and Hong Kong.

Dont mind booking seperately but flight will be only one way UK to Singapore and dont get good prices in UK for one way flights. Hopefully when our consultant is back from her holidays she can let us know options. Need to book by November 15 to get double OBC.

I looked at doing the same but as far as I could make out from brochure and online Singapore is not an embarkation port on that Worldie (ie not start/end of a sector) hence no hotels showing. Bit disappointing if that is really the case.

I have booked a sector for 2016 which is Sydney to Singapore. It is not in the brochure but available online and via your TA. As people will be leaving the ship I would think P&O would want to fly some replacements in?

Thanks Davecttr. Perhaps I should have looked more closely. Too late now, booked Adonia Caribbean last weekend. Maybe 2017....
