Casino Program Changes

Recommended Posts

A friend and CR member did tell me last night that we DO get C&A points! he didn't say if it mattered if we pay to upgrade, so as others have experienced sounds like we DO regardless of paying for upgrade or not.

I'm still tryin to convince my wife how to come up with a good and believable excuse to be absent from work. It will have to be a medical reason cause they will not let her just go unless it's an unexpected emergency.

The points are nice but it really isn't going to make a difference to us since we're in the middle of D+ in no mans land, so a few extra points won't do much for us lol.

We're leaning towards Oasis since she wants to see Cats. I'd rather see Mamma Mia. Is that on Allure now?

I believe that Allure of the Seas still has Chicago and will until she goes into drydock in May. Then she'll get Mamma Mia.

I don't receive their emails either.

I called them today after Graham's email and we're taking them up on their free offer. The balcony cabins they are offering are for Central Park and Boardwalk. I paid to upgrade and will receive double points for a JS. For us it was a very good deal :)

Thank you to Graham, please keep us updated on future changes.

Your welcome Linda

Hope you have a great cruise, if you picked Oasis, you will be able to use the NEW VIP area in the casino.

If you do use, let us all know the tables, limits, etc etc.. Thanks:)

If on Allure, try and find out if when she goes in for dry dock they will add a VIP

Area also. Appreciated.

Happy Days!!

Be lucky;)

Oh ok. I couldn't remember. Ah that's right Oasis has the refurb done and has the new VIP room in casino, I may end up taking my daughter for spring break. Either Mar 1 Allure or 2/28 Oasis. For the itinerary I would rather do the eastern. That is if she goes. If I go solo I will do the Oasis (hey, won't I get double points too???).

Selected Allure because there was only 1 Eastern sailing left last night on both Oasis & Allure that had some JS availability and preferred Chicago over Cats. Since CR is closed on weekends, rooms were going quickly yesterday. I needed to make a lot of quick decisions last night, airfare cost, hotel cost, cabin availability and most of all, convincing hubby it was a good deal. We had no plans to sail on the Oasis class ships, but couldn't pass this deal up. Decided to use points for airfare and used my cash rebate for the upgrade and taxes. All in all, I still think it was a good deal for us and gives us a chance to sail on Allure, I'm very excited :D.

I really do appreciate all the info you have given us and I will definitely find out the answers to your questions.

Excellent, that is some very quick organizing!!

Used up all my AA points for our flights to Seattle for Jewel cruise, flight costs at mo for us and only spring break week being only time we could cruise

limited our options, at least we are booked for Allure next March, so will experience her after she has had her makeover like Oasis.

You have yourselves a great cruise and have some nice big wins in the Casino

All the Best

Think I should write in smaller font............. too lowly to receive an email with the offer. :(

Called yesterday to ensure they had my correct email address (they do) and to see if I could get one of the complimentary cruises (NOT).

Oh well, it was worth a try.

At least they extended the cash rebate program and I will get $300 on our cruise in early April (had already contacted them and received confirmation on this two weeks ago).

Rep first asked if I had received an email with the offer (no), then she very nicely explained that the email was going out to a limited number of players, finally she doubled checked the system to see if I was on the list (NOT).

Congrats to all you lucky players who received the offer and are able to take advantage of it. :)

Thanks! I haven't gotten any comps before so I was surprised. Maybe if they add up all the many cruises I took over the past year it added up.

Leaving Sunday on Allure. Taking daughter on spring break.

A new offer came in the (USPS) mail today.

This time, Club Royale is offering one of two different complimentary cruises combined with a golf outing.

PLAY ONBOARD

PLAY ASHORE

You're invited to a pair of upcoming Royal Caribbean International® sailings where excitement is par for the course. An you'll get a complimentary stateroom for two on the house. Enjoy two ways to play and win. Casino Royale® action onboard and the best golf in paradise ashore.

  • Mahogany Run Golf Outing: Allure of the Seas on April 12, 2015, with 9 holes of golf
  • $25,000 Port Royal Golf Tournament: Liberty of the Seas on October 3, 2015, with 18 holes of golf and an entry for the golf tournament

Although I certainly like getting free cruise offers, I'm not a golf person, so I suspect that much of the onshore benefits here probably wouldn't appeal to me.

We got the free offer, too.. thinking about taking them up on it. We don't golf, but I'm sure it's okay to forego that part of the "free" cruise.

We won a free cruise on the Liberty of the Seas for December 2014 - slot tournament - paid around $500 total for upgrade to balcony and port fees.

Got the offer as well. There was a misprint. The October sailing on the Liberty is out of Bayonne, NJ, not Ft. Lauderdale, FL, we were a little disappointed. Liberty is my favorite ship, but I'm not flying up north in October for a 5 day cruise when I live 1/2 hour away from Port Everglades.

The good part is we just booked the April cruise from the offer. Got a Central Park Balcony upgrade including cruise insurance, gratuities, port fees, taxes, etc for just under $500. We wanted an oceanview balcony, but there weren't any available. We are waitlisted for one.

The odd thing is my husband playslarger amounts in the casino than I do. He is also an avid golfer (Every Sunday) and I play once a year in a charity golf tournament. I got the last two offers and he didn't. I asked about this and they said marketing is choosing certain criteria, not necessarily biggest play. However he does rate high enough so that both of us can participate in the golf outing even though the offer is for one golfer. They said he would qualify for his own room.

My husband just got this email. As I stated previously, hubby plays more than I do. He always gets a bigger rebate than I do, but I get the offer for free cruises and he only gets 50% off. Go figure!!!

I was just thinking...

I really like the tangent this thread has taken with us sharing the offers we've received. With Club Royale being more of a secretive organization, not (yet) disclosing what perks and offers we may be entitled to, it's nice to get an idea of what others are receiving, especially when we may be missing emails from Club Royale/Royal Caribbean.

However, this thread was originally planned to discuss upcoming changes to the Club Royale program.

Might I suggest that we do continue to share our casino offers and maybe information about the perks we've received onboard, but in a separate thread?

I also got this offer but haven't received any other offers or emails, so I called to see if they had the correct email address for me. When I mentioned that I got the golf offer but was not a golfer they said I could switch to the other offer of Allure or Oasis before March 31. Booked a boardwalk balcony for 2 on Oasis March 14. for 390 after taxes and tips.

This is my first "free" cruise from the casino program. I chose the March 7th Oasis sailling. They quoted me a price for the port fees/taxes/grats/insurance that I've already paid. Should I be concerned that it shows an outstanding balance of $2012?

The only other free cruises I've done were from Win A Cruise Bingo and the only charges that showed up on the invoice/on the website were the port fees/taxes/grats/insurance. There was never an outstanding balance listed.

No worries. Just make sure the difference is paid in time by Club Royale so u can print your set sail pass

We are also showing a balance as of tonight for our free cruise that I booked last Friday. Club Royale said it will take them 5-7 work days to show a $0 balance. Your sail date is next week, much sooner than ours, I would give them a call. They are closed on weekends.
