gfsf Posted October 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2014 My friend and I are booked on the Star Princess in November and I just found out that there's a slight chance I may not be able to go. Would Princess allow me to have another person go in my place? I'm sure there would be some cost involved but that's ok. Just curious if it's possible. Rare Coral Posted October 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2014 (edited) Yes - I think there is a $50 name change fee or something like that. At least one person who was originally booked in the cabin must still be in the cabin at sailing. So both of you can't substitute someone. gfsf Posted October 3, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted October 3, 2014 Thanks, that's great news. Yes, there would just be one substitution. I'm just hoping I don't have to do it!
dbeckett Posted October 3, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 3, 2014 When my brother had a stroke and insisted I cruise I was able to take someone else. I don' t recall having to pay for the name change.
Pam in CA Posted October 3, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 3, 2014 When my brother had a stroke and insisted I cruise I was able to take someone else. I don' t recall having to pay for the name change. The charge is only after final payment. There's no charge to make a change before final payment. CthyC Posted October 3, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 3, 2014 Wow...I never knew you could do this? How soon before sailing can you make a name change? Just good to know. As always, thanks for your help.
