when does radiance arrive in australia

we are going on a cruise to new Zealand 29th of November to the 13th of december, we have cruised on Rhapsody so I hope radiance is as good

We are also hoping that the xmas deco's wiil go up

does anyone know ?

She arrives almost a week away, Saturday 11 Oct from Hawaii.

Regarding Christmas decorations, from past experience I'd expect them to go up when you leave on 13th Dec... but maybe they'll be early this year!

We cruised late November one year to early December. The decorations were all in place by the end of our cruise.

Last year we cruised on Radiance toward the end of November. We went to bed one night and when we got up the next morning the ship had been decorated for Christmas with the tree in the atrium and baubles/decorations on the lifts. Very impressive. I would imagine that if you are sailing in December they will already be up.

We were on that cruise with Aussieflyer - yep just as described. The cruise departed on 26th Nov, and hubby thinks it was after their thanksgiving (which only US passengers got invited to :confused: )

 

Looks like the first trip out of Aus is 11 Oct. It is a sold out trip by the look of it, which makes them a bit harder to find sometimes. We are following the current trip here with Raina... http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2100021&page=13

 

Also Radiance is like a slightly larger and in my opinion slightly more beautiful Rhapsody. Lots of big windows letting in a lot of light. Elevators that look out to sea. Favourite ship of ours.

Having sailed on both, a few differences we noted were:

- Centrum is more spacious on Rhapsody

- Love the helipad on Radiance, can't get on the front of Rhapsody

- Colony club (Ra) is more spacious than the Shall We Dance Lounge (Rh)

- Self-levelling pool tables are cool on Radiance

- Really love the elevators on Radiance that look out through glass to the sea, very cool

- Not sure about this but the pool area (outdoor) on Rhapsody felt more spacious than on Radiance

- 4 whirlpools on Rhapsody around outdoor pool, Radiance has 2

- Prefer the theatre on Radiance and better seating

- and lastly, for me Radiance is better looking and much sexier to look at :D

 

Oh yeah, and Rhapsody has the aerial acrobatic show in the centrum!

we too are doing the NZ cruise on the 29th and i cant wait. It is great to hearall the great things about her. We have sailed on Legend and Voyager so will be nice to go in between!! :D

Btw, just for the record...have really enjoyed both ships. Just nit picking really.
