KPfromCT Posted October 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2014 :o Happy Sunday, Everyone!!!! Our last two cruises have been on the Breeze, and we always book a Lido balcony. So, when I get up in the morning, I grab a cup of coffee on the Lido and head up to Deck 11 and have a smoke. Is this the same situation on the Liberty? Can anyone let me know where their smoking areas are? TIA:D

I can't remember if it was also allowed on Deck 11 or not. They just have it listed as "designated exterior open deck areas". The other areas are inside in one section of the casino where you have to actively be what I call "making contributions"; the right side of the casino bar (left side is non-smoking). I know the Hot and Cool Dance club is smoking but only at night. They also have the "jazz club" as a designated interior smoking area for Liberty. That would be the Stage Bar and it is also located on the Panorama Deck (5) at the back of the ship on the port side. It's right before you get to the lounge/Punchliner Comedy club and across from the Piano Bar. Hope this helps.

pghsteelerfan Posted October 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2014 So, nothing on deck 3 starboard? You know, I think it may be allowed on Deck 3 starboard, but we never made it out there on our last cruise in April. We wanted to go out there but could not find the door out there this time (duh, I know). :o We later found out it was by the Guest Services area and we were looking for a door out there from just outside the aft dining room. I know it was allowed on Deck 3 starboard when we were on Glory in 2010 since we stopped out there to have one before dinner the first night until the lines died down. katiel53 Posted October 5, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2014 The new smoking/non-smoking goes into affect in a few days so smoking on any cabin balcony will not be permitted. I have heard that there will be new non-smoking area on all ships and it seems it was mentioned that deck 3 would have smoking, but I am not sure. I think after next weeks cruise people will be able to give definite info about the new policies.
hartsnvt Posted October 5, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 5, 2014 I went on Carnivals website to find the new rules and areas and saw that there will be smoking on Deck 3 midship outside.

sandij Posted October 5, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 5, 2014 I emailed to John Heald about the smoking areas on our upcoming conquest cruise. he had someone from Carnival contact me and they said decks 3 and 10 starboard and of course the casino and casino bar, Henri's night club and the Jazz club. I just finished reading your Liberty review today, and your Valor review yesterday. LOVED THEM BOTH!!!!!:D:D:D Thank you for the info. I know the Breeze Lido is Deck 10, but am thinking the Liberty is Deck 9? So it would just be up one level? Thank you again!!!:D

Thank you again!!!:D Thank you and so glad you enjoyed them both. I just wish I had another cruise to write about, but none planned...yet. :D Yes, on Liberty the Lido is Deck 9. On Valor last year, we were still allowed to smoke on the Lido Deck because Valor has not had the 2.0 upgrades yet.

It's just above Guy Burgers and forward of Fish n Chips as I recall. Very windy up there. There's also an elevator to 10, go out the doors, hook a right. pghsteelerfan Posted October 6, 2014 #14 Share Posted October 6, 2014 I posted earlier that last year on Valor since she has not had the 2.0 upgrades yet that smoking was still allowed on Lido Deck 9, starboard. JH has a page on a popular social networking site which I won't name, and he just posted where the "updated" smoking areas are on all classes of Carnival ships. With the Conquest Class (Conquest, Glory, Valor, Freedom, Liberty), the only open decks where smoking is now allowed is starboard on Deck 3, Deck 10 (one up from Lido), and Deck 11. No mention of any smoking, anywhere, on Lido. Apparently new sofas, chairs, and tables will arrive on the Conquest Class ships for the outside decks and he said pictures would be posted tomorrow or the day after. If I hear anything different, I'll be sure to post.
