Barb Nahoumi Posted October 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2014 I just checked the Port of Bermuda Live Cam, and noticed that the Explorer left early because of a tropical storm. The sea is whipping up, but hopefully they will be able to get on to the next port without many problems. From Bermuda, the next port is Philipsburg, St Maarten----part of a 9 day cruise. If anyone can post onboard, please let us know how you are doing. We wish the crew and passengers a smooth safe trip.
Barb Nahoumi Posted October 12, 2014 Author #2 Share Posted October 12, 2014 Tropical Storm Fay is still raging on Bermuda now, but is expected to subside later. It is questionable if scheduled ship will dock today. You can watch the goings on on portofbermudalivecam.
edjny Posted October 12, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 12, 2014 If you zoom out on the Port of Bermuda webcam, you can see the Norwegian Dawn circling north of Bermuda. There really is no place else to go out there. They are just waiting for the wind to die down enough so they can get through the channel and dock. Jon in the ATL Posted October 12, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 12, 2014 Holy moly, those waves must be huge. Watching the webcam now. The Silver Lining....when a storm goes through an area like that usually the next few days are picture perfect. Let's hope they dock safely. Barb Nahoumi Posted October 12, 2014 Author #13 Share Posted October 12, 2014 Remember the old Bobby Lewis song of 1961-----Tossin' and Turnin'? I hope that all ships in that area will have smooth sailing soon.

Barb Nahoumi Posted October 12, 2014 Author #15 Share Posted October 12, 2014 The storm seems to have abated, and the Grandeur is arriving into Bermuda now. We hope that all will be well.
