Anyone taken the Eclipse on 14night Caribbean Cruise???

Hi Guys.

 

Just wondering if anyone of you guys out there have cruised on the Celebrity Eclipse on the 14 night Ultimate Caribbean Cruise. If so, would you recommend it.

Considering flying over from Australia to do this cruise in the near future some time.

 

A great time to cruise that region would also be most helpful.

Yes! We will be sailing on the Eclipse for the second time this January. The islands, Bonaire, Aruba and Curacao are really a treat- The rest of the ports also very good! Having two weeks on a cruise ship in the Caribbean is wonderful!

Did it flying from Perth in 2013.

Decided that long way to go for 14 days so added a 7 day on Silhouette with a day between cruises. Cruise was fantastic but Ports/Islands are nothing special IMHO.

Carribean cruises are very good value compared to Med and Aus, we did Aqua Class for $4200, 14 days, 2 people. Same in Med would be over $7000.

Glad I did it, can say have been to Carribean, probably not do again.

Average age I was told was 72!

My sister did it 2 weeks later and had same opinions, average age 70.

Was January 26 sailing, weather good, seas good

Strongly reccommend having a few days Miami Beach (not Miami) pre or post.

You gotta be patient and tolerant as some of those locals that seem to do several cruises per year can be difficult.:rolleyes:

We just got off the Eclipse 14 day last Sunday and loved it! You will want the itinerary that goes to Bonaire, it was great. Took the Woodwind snorkel tour there and it was wonderful.

We really enjoyed the 14 day itinerary and we were on the ship for Thanksgiving ,which was lovely. The first day out, all the Christmas decorations were being put up and the ship was really nicely decorated for the entire cruise. Ship and crew were great.

All in all, we had a great time.
