Three things you are really looking forward to.

As first time cruisers what three things would you pick that you are really looking forward to doing or seeing etc.,on your cruise.

For us it would be everything, but if I had to pick it would be the following:

1. Spending some time alone with my husband.

2. Meeting all the people I have been chatting to on Cruise Critics.

3. Seeing my DH in a tuxedo, he has never worn one before.

As a first time cruiser from Amarillo, TX (where rain is sparse and bodies of water ony include the dirty puddles), here are my top three "can't wait" activities:

1) sitting on the white sands with a tropical drink; hopefully in a hollowed piece of fruit and with an umbrella :D basically, I will pretend I am in the Corona commercial, sans Corona (ewww)

2) seeing turqouise waters and viewing the marine life below (sting rays and snorkeling, yay!)

3) enjoying a classy evening sipping wine, smoking cloves, and listening to music (like you, can't wait to see the BF in his nicer duds;)

We're also first time cruisers and I cannot wait to:

1) Just spend a week relaxing with my DH hanging out celebrating our 1 year anniversary.

2) Sipping drinks on the deck and on the beach..any place we can unwind staring at the beautiful ocean.

3) We're going to Roatan, Belize, Cozumel and Grand Cayman, so I'm really looking foward to seeing the new and different places!

If I have to pick only 3....

1.) the faces of my kids...my hubby...my sister and her family!!! all 9 of us are newbies!!

2.) all the new things...food, people, places, the sun rises, the sunsets, the stars at night, the smells, the sounds, the excitment!!!

3.)all the Cruise Critic friends I have already meet and get to see!!!:D

Ok so it was way more than 3, but my kids haven't left the 4 state area, hubby has only flown once before, and for us to be staying in FL. for 3 days prior (disney and universal) going on a cruise, and visiting 3 countries, we are talking big time excitment in my house on a daily basis and we still have 5 months to go!!!

We are newbies too, celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary.

1. NO ONE YELLING FOR MOM

2.Just my DH and I with NO WORRIES

3. Cozumel , the beach, snorkeling, cave tubing, food , no kids, etc...

We will be on the Elation and I'm ready to go Thanks to everyone.

All of my questions have been answered. I feel really prepared.

1. First "real" vacation without dd's, family, friends or business trip (often take together as we own a mutual company plus I work for a franchise):(

2. Scoring an aft balcony cabin for first cruise:D

3. We need it after 25 years of marriage!!!!!:p

If I can sneak in one more...this is also a first for him or I not to take our golf clubs on a trip....but then again we have time to change that don't we?

I'm not a first timer, but I sure do remember the first time with marvelous memories.

What we like the most:

1. watching the wake of the ship aft.

2. being waited on, both in our cabin and at dinner.

3. lazy days at sea, with a cold drink in hand.

Here's mine in no particular order:

The memories we will keep for a lifetime...

The Pictures we will take to help us remember...

Having the entire family dressed to the nines and dancing with my dear hubby of almost 15 years! <pulling him to the dance floor:rolleyes: >

One week left, I can't wait or type either!!!!!1

1.My surprise upgrade from oceanview to balcony.

2.My pleasant, courteous fellow passengers and their well-behaved children.

3.Joining the '21 Knots' Club.

;)

What's the 21 knots Club? I am a First time cruiser, Sounds like something I would definetely like to join. :)

Hi Traci,:D

Let me know which ship you are on. Maybe I can order a video. They have cameras all over the ship.

I'm going on my first cruise in January on Carnival Inspiration with my mom and grandma. (3 generations of women :))

1. Being in warm weather in January with a foo-foo drink in my hand.

2. Spending time together seeing places I've never seen before.

3. Dressing up for Formal night and eating good food.
