Kellie Poodle Posted October 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2014 I have a couple of cruises booked for 2015 that were booked on board an Azamara ship so there is OBC of $150 on one cruise and $200 on the second. My husband passed away in June and I kept my reservation as I intend to do the cruises even if I have to pay double. I am Diamond and the balcony discount was applied to the column with my fare. Also, I was able to get the fee reworked for the BOGO sale. If I can get someone to go with me, here are my questions: What I am wondering is will I be able to keep the OBC and the price that I have now if I change the name of the second person on the cruise? I paid $200 per cruise in deposits as we booked aboard the ship. Will RCI require a larger deposit from a new traveler? Will my fellow traveler get Diamond status because I am Diamond? I never had to face a situation like this before, so I'd appreciate any advice as well as answers to the questions.
Clarea Posted October 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2014 (edited) Sorry to hear about your loss. You should be able to change a name on the booking with no change in price, deposit, or OBC. If you remove a name and try to add one later, then that would likely trigger some changes. There would be no Diamond perks for the second guest solely based on sharing the stateroom.
