Back from Allure and our Upgrade to Royal Loft Suite

Well what can I say, wonderful upgrade, wonderful service and food. Had stayed in Crown Loft and Sky Loft before but the Royal Loft Suite is out of this world. Hot tub on the verandah (really too large to be called a balcony!!) sun loungers, dry bar, sofa, and dining table for 8. The main bedroom bathroom has a huge square jacuzzi bath and a double shower with wonderful ocean views. The lounge/dining room was about a third again bigger than the sky loft suite and that was huge. Our stateroom attendant was awesome and the service all over the ship was better than ever. We dined at Chops and 150 Central Park as well as the main restaurant. Amazed that our waiter in 150 Central Park remembered our favourite wine from July 2013 and knew where we lived and asked about our grandchildren by name - amazing. All in all a great cruise that certainly delivers the WOW factor.

That's kind of spooky

That is kind of spooky. They must keep a book with all this info. Hope so anyway.

I think it's awesome!

I had a lady at guest services on Navigator remember me from my Radiance cruise 2 years earlier. Makes you feel extra special!

Which category of stateroom were you originally booked in (before the upgrade)? Was it a paid (with a discount) upgrade, or did the upgrade fairy pay a visit with a complimentary one? Either way - that's awesome!

We had booked and paid for an Owners Suite, then received a phone call 2 days prior to sailing offering us the complimentary upgrade. It was a wonderful surprise.

Being in the Royal - can you describe embarkation? I know there's a suite line but did someone escort you to the suite and make the whole process quicker?

Also, did you notice any difference in service offered - by virtue of being in the Royal Suite, vs the Sky Lofts you stayed in before?

I'm right now deciding on SkyLoft vs a Royal Loft hence I ask....

Yes we were personally escorted onto the ship and bypassed all the lines waiting to board, so certainly much quicker. Our suite was not ready though as it was before 1pm so we were escorted up to the Concierge Lounge. Service received was as wonderful as ever and no difference than being in a sky loft suite or any other suite I would think.
