GEM Skipping Tortola

I hope they get the pier don in time for my cruise in February

 

I use a wheelchair and would hate to miss getting off and have 3 sea days home

We just got off the Gem.

 

They tendered to the island. The pier is under construction. I do not know if this was hurricane damage or just an upgrade. We knew we would have to be back on board by 12:30 so chose not to get off. I suspect others felt the same way.

 

Do not forget, if it is very windy or the seas are choppy, the do not stop so maybe all this factored in

Is it true that the Gem won't be going to Tortola on 11/28? Doesn't NCL email passengers about the change so we won't make excursion plans etc? Just printed out my e-docs today, and Tortola is still listed.
