Buy Royal Refreshment Onboard??

I read a recent post about not being able to purchase the Royal Refreshment (soda only) package once onboard, can anyone confirm or dispute this from a recent sailing? Mom has onboard credit and prepaid gratuities and won't buy anything else on board so if this is the case, I'll "buy" her credit from her and use it for my own Premium Package. Thanks.

What recent post are you referring to? If it was the thread started by oshawapilot from earlier in the year that was just recently bumped to the front, that was bad information from the start. The Royal Refreshment package is available to purchase on the ship. My husband just bought one on our cruise two weeks ago.

Is there an advantage to buying it in advance or waiting to purchase on the ship?

No difference in price.

If you purchase ahead of time the seapass card will have the logo imprinted vs you will get a sticker on your card if you buy on board.

If you purchase on board you will get the cups right away but if you purchase ahead of time your cups will be in your cabin and you will have to wait until 1:00 to get them.
