Booking through NCL vs _______

Just be sure to ask!

There is one very large cruise only agency that charges $100 to cancel and I know of another that charges $75 but if you book another cruise it is "waived". Point is, there are times when you have to cancel and if so you may be surprised if you don't ask up front or read the terms and conditions when booking on line.

There was also a recent Princess promotion with non refunadable deposits but I think changes were allowed - not sure.....

We use 2 different TAs--though the online one more than the warehouse club one because I don't like the whs club TA change or cancellation fee--which includes if there is a price drop. The online TA will get any price drop for us for $0, though price drops don't seem to happen often these days.

Our OBC or discount has always been less net cost than if we book with the cruiseline directly--with the exception of a one night Cruise to Nowhere where the price was the same so we booked directly with NCL.

I have no complaints about using a TA and appreciate the $ I saved with the perks offered.

Always ask about their policy for price drop, changes, or cancellations.

if you do book with a TA, you will need to contact them for anything. NCL will not talk to you since the TA has control over booking and will tell you to contact the TA

Shof515 is correct. I always book directly with NCL using my PCC even if I could save a few bucks with a TA. I used a TA on my first cruise and learned my lesson. I also do the same thing with hotel and air reservations. Being in control is worth a few extra dollars in my opinion.
