What to do with Key Card ?

Back when I was a kid, the local pool's lockers gave out the keys on a coil (like an old-fashioned phone cable) that you wore around your wrist, normally in some neon colour. Clearly it's time to bring those back.

 

I use these - bought a pack on that auction website for very little per piece when broken out.

Thanks everyone. Saw some mentions of the lanyard and was hoping it was not the norm but didn't want to come right out and ask.

 

I always use either a wristlet or a pocket. But Lanyard is the norm. I would say at least 1/3 of the people on most cruises have them.

I use a money belt they are lightweight and I use it when we leave the ship for excursions

I make pocket purses. I carry my card, phone, chap stick & sunglasses in it.

My daughter bought me an anchor key chain that I attached two clips to. One clip I attach to my key card through a hole I punch into it. The other clip attaches to my over the shoulder purse strap or belt loop or beach bag strap, etc.

It depends on how big the breasts are - I don't put cards or money in mine, I will literally have to pull the stuff from under and why freak people out doing that? If you have no problems taking it out with your D-cup and up, be my guest; I have enough problems with crumbs / food / liquid spills cleanup that it doesn't look pornographic........

 

 

Ditto to this!! As a big-boobed chick, you don't want to draw even more attention to them by reaching into your bra for every drink. :p

 

I use a lanyard with a small, flat waterproof pouch, and have it around my neck and under my bathing suit (like this one). Totally waterproof and I take it on shore without having to worry about my stuff being stolen. It's usually my ID, ship card, and a few bucks cash. Lays flat under my bra and I don't feel it.

 

As far as casual walking around the ship? I opt for a small cross-body bag.

I lost my keycard once when I had it in my pocket. When we were in Guatamala, I bought a beautiful lanyard like cloth bag. It's a great reminder of that excursion and the colorful fabric goes with any outfit :) . The little bag is also big enough to carry some chapstick, my folded up daily activities page, and my and my husband's sheet that the CD staff sign for activities in which we participate for the prizes at the end of the cruise.

That's especially true when one is in a hot climate area like the Caribbean with the heat and the sweating - you know the bartender is going to at least crack a joke about touching the card / money that came from a big bra. lol.

Yep, because then you can pull it out and hand that nasty sticky sweaty germy thing to the nearest bartender. I'm sure he will appreciate it.
