Allure Nov.16-23rd Sailing--Port Tax Credit given to passengers

We just finished the above mentioned sailing and my wife and I received a $16.01 "OBCR- Port/Air Taxes Credit".

Anyone know why?

The only thing I can think of is the fact that Allure departed 1/2 hour early from Ft. Lauderdale on the 16th and a bartender commented that the early departure saves the company money.

I'm not complaining as an extra $32.02 OBC is always a nice surprise.

I wanted to ask this question during the "Captain's Corner" Q & A session but didn't get a chance.

I received a credit also, but for a different amount.

hhhhmmmmm

My assumption is that some of us were overcharged for port taxes on our invoices.

We also received this credit on our Allure 9/28 sailing - thought we were either overcharged for taxes or they went down in price.

Port fees went down.

I've noticed that what we paid back in May for Port fees/taxes was higher then what they come up as now if I do a moc reservation now.

We "should" have an OBC for that amount when we board.. if we do bonus!
