Breeze bad reviews

We also had ATD. It was very slow. See my post earlier. The last night we just ate dinner in the buffet so as not to waste 2-1/2 to 3 hours in the MDR.

We book ATD and find if you go early like 6-6:30 or late 8 or later. The service is faster. Between 6:30 and 8 very slow.

I must be seeing the opposite as you. I see nothing but magnificent reviews on the Breeze, which actually has bugged me. I was disappointed in the Breeze, although she still is a great ship. The shows in the theater on this ship are absolutely awful! If I didn't spend the $15 for the unlimited pass in the 3D theater, I would've gotten bored at night. However, in the daytime, there is so much to do: great waterslides, nice ropes course, all the food places are open (they all shut down in the evening), etc. I had a great time by day, but evenings can be boring. That's my only real complaint about the ship.

Without that, my only complaints are minor ones: very slippery floors in the indoors part of the lido deck, sections & walls creating bottlenecks in the indoors part of the lido deck, & very bland ship decor (which some people love). If they only had good shows in the theater, this might be my favorite ship. Instead, it falls somewhere in the middle of the pack. Their shows are very short, have no live music at all, have only a few performers who are asked to do too much, and there are no real props. But if you don't care about the shows, then you will probably really enjoy the ship.

There were almost no lines for the food all the time for the entire 8 days I was on the ship. On day 2, Guys' line had about 35,000 people in it all day. It was wrapping around the entire lido deck area all day. However, after that, there would be only a few people in line at any and all times. Buffet lines were always short, even at peak times. The only place with lines were for the omelets, since they only had 3 omelet stations. And this was on a cruise where we had 4700 people on board. In other words, nearly every single bed was filled (even the 3rd/4th/5th beds), and that is very unusual. Yet, lines were still short, and the ship didn't seem that crowded. Pools will be crowded, but I knew that going in.

We sailed on the Breeze last year and had a great time. The ship is very nice. There may have been a lot of people on the ship. But it never was a problem for us as we were always able to find a seat where ever we went. The stage shows were not exciting. The live music in other places on the ship was good. Our cabin steward was excellent. Our dining room wait staff for the early seating was very good. That is why we are sailing on her again in March.

I have read that the new tunnel to the port of Miami makes it much easier drive in and out.

I did a B2B on the Breeze in Sept/Oct - I loved all 14 days on it. So much so, that I will be going again at the end of January for another 8 days.

I've been on quite a few Carnival ships (even worked on a few way back when) and so far my favorites are the Legend and the Breeze.

Never had an issue with crowds with the exception of formal night when we went to Anytime Dining at peak time - quite a line, but when we got the beeper we sat in the lobby and enjoyed the duo and dancing.

If you're doing Anytime Dining, ask for Rosanna - the BEST team ever & so friendly. She takes pride in her job & it shows.

I never had a problem with waits when eating on the Lido deck with the exception of the Mongolian Wok which is understandable since they cook the food fresh while you wait. I used the omelet station almost every morning, but I'm a pretty early riser so no real wait except one time when the guy in front of me was ordering omelets for everyone he knew (I do think they should limit each person to two omelets only).

Overall, I loved the Breeze and I do think it beats out my earlier favorite, the Legend, due to the extras available. I think I loved the Legend because of the crew more than the ship.

Go & have a blast!!

We were on the Breeze in September and are sailing on her again in 2 weeks! Our favorite Carnival ship! We had anytime dining and tried to be there 5:45 - 6:00 and never had a wait once the doors opened. As for long lines on Lido/Guys, etc. just try to do that at a different time. If you go to the buffet at 12:00 noon, of course it will be crowded. There is always something to do on the ship I can't imagine anyone being bored. Final thoughts are, when we go cruising we go to relax and have a good time...and we have never had a bad cruise! It is what you make it and don't sweat the little things!! Have a great cruise!!

I agree that Breeze being a Dream class ship you have to plan for the crowds, which just means always show up early for the best seats and/or shortest wait times. Even the ropes course will have a long line at certain times- don't forget closed toe shoes. Cloud 9 Spa...If you don't get a spa cabin, the cove balcony is great and purchase a spa pass. Or get the pass with any cabin. I could not believe how large the spa waiting area was- basically the entire front of that floor, but narrow. It's a great place to chill, and it's not really a featured area, only a waiting/relaxing area with beverages and a view. Our first time on the Dream we swore we would never go back...have been 3 times now. It's great to learn tips on how to enjoy certain features on each ship. We loved the 3D theater on the Breeze, but we have kids and it was an every day activity for us. Hope you love the Breeze!

I have been on the Breeze 3 times and can't wait to go again!! I read some of these comments and think, Were we on the same ship?! Crowded pools on sea day, all ships, crowded Lido at lunch, probably, but if you keep walking back and don't stop in the middle, not crowded at all. And, we learned to eat lunch, at 1:00 or after to avoid crowds. I'm a firm believer that a cruise or any vacation for that matter is what you make of it.

I will be sailing on the Breeze for the first time next February. This will be the first Dream class ship I've sailed and I'm really looking forward to seeing the differences between Spirit, Conquest and Dream classes.

I plan on vacationing with an open mind. I love cruising and have learned to accept some minor bumps in the road regardless of ship size.

However, if an issue arose that required escalation, believe me, I would escalate. If an issue isn't raised, it can't be fixed. :)

We've been on 30+ Carnival cruises on over a dozen different ships. We were on the Breeze in April, right in the thick of Spring Break. Never noticed the crowd. This is by far the best ship we've sailed on.

I was just on the Breeze on November 16 and found it to be a really nice ship. We had a great time! The only thing that I found was that our cabin, although very large (larger than the balcony cabins my friends had all booked) was on deck 1 and with the rougher seas, there was very loud noise from the ship's movement making it difficult to sleep well at night. Other than that, we had no problems at all with lines. I was a little nervous not having been on such a large ship before that we would have line-ups everywhere but that wasn't the case at all. I went into the pools and hot-tubs everyday and didn't find them crowded at all (at the back of the ship).

I would definitely recommend the Blue Iguana for their breakfast burritos. They were fabulous and I had them three of the six days I was onboard. The other place that I loved was Tandoor for lunch - they had great east-indian food - so fresh and yummy!

I don't know if perhaps the fact that there was a tournament in the casino meant that the lines around the ship were lessened as the casino was full all the time but I really had no problems at any time and I would recommend Breeze to any one!

I also found the food in the dining room very good. I had the flat iron steak one night as nothing else appealed and I was expecting to be disappointed in it after reading so many bad reviews online but was pleasantly surprised that it was so tender and cooked to perfection.

We had a great time and I looked forward to sailing on her again!

We sailed the Breeze on Sept 13th this year. It was our third Carnival cruise and the only one that we have some bad service. The workers just were not very friendly this time. There were a few that were great. Let the Blue Cantina Tacos. They were great and the service perfect. The Italian restaurant was the best and free for lunch. We went there several times.

All cruises are what you make them. Even with some of the bad service, we had a great time. There is always places on that ship to find a nice quite place to just relax.

I just got off the Breeze on Sunday. Nothing wrong with the ship or crew, had a pleasant experience. The ship didn't feel crowded and it was completely sold out. Yes, the pools will be busy on sea days but that happens on all the ships I've been on. If you want to jump in for a swim, do it early in the morning or early evening.

The only complaint I have about the ship is how slippery the floor is in the Lido buffet area, you really have to be careful here. Besides this, some of the carpet in the Blush MDR was heavily stained and needed a thorough cleaning. But this was mostly around the service stations and were food is brought in/out of the MDR to the kitchen area. Nothing that can't be fixed or would prevent you from enjoying a cruise.

There's plenty to do on board, found the layout of the ship to be refreshing compared to other Carnival ships. The cruise director, Wee Jimmy, if average at best but I don't cruise for cruise directors. I would sail on the Breeze again, she's definitely in my top 3 favorite list of Carnival ships.

Was on in september, lines were not bad, usually only a few people in front of me, except sea day bbq. That line was huge. The serenity deck was ok, even by waterworks it wasn't loud, it was nice and quiet. 2 hot tubs not just one btw, serenity wraps around both sides of the ship.

Service in ATD was a bit slow, but probably always is. Had a great time overall.
