g3off Posted November 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2014 my wife and I are a little hesitant for baby sitting inside our room with an almost 2 year old. We are ok though with adventure ocean and a more "public" form of care. Too many stories and chances for things to go wrong if you know what I mean. So with that being said... What is baby sitting like there? Is adventure ocean open for night baby sitting where the kids may sleep and we can pick em up afterwards? Any advice for baby sitting and kid care so we can have a few nights of adult fun together at the music hall? :) Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences with child care in the tots and toddler program and general baby sitting. myfluff Posted December 1, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2014 When we were on the 3 day preinaugural sailing the Royal toys nursery was not open since they stated that they still needed to meet safety standards. I was a bit disappointment as I had a one year old and two year old with me . Adventure ocean required parents to stay with children if very young. In room babysitting was not guaranteed and a daily struggle of followup to guest services. In room babysitting was not available for daytime as myself and husband wanted to see Mamma Mia, so I ended up seeing the show myself as husband watched the kids. We did manage to get in room babysitting two of the three nights for hours between 6 pm and midnight. Hopefully the nursery will be up and running prior to sailing. g3off Posted December 2, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted December 2, 2014 Thanks for the reply. Since Quantums program was down, does anyone have any experience with toddler care on other RCCL ships? Thoughts on that would be appreciated!
mivama Posted December 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 15, 2014 Does anyone know what the hours are for Adventure Ocean? I'm assuming they are similar to other ships. On the Allure, I seem to remember it being open for general use until around 10 then charging a per hour fee after that. Is it the same on the Quantum? CubsFanRS23 Posted December 15, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 15, 2014 Opens at 9am, closes 12-2pm, then again until 10pm. From 5-7pm they will take your kids to Windjammer for dinner for you. Open from 12-2pm on port days and they will take your kids to Windjammer for lunch. You can leave them past 10pm up to 2am. Don't remember how much but wasn't expensive. Will check for you when I pick my kids up later. :) Sent from my iPhone using Forums
njkruzer Posted December 15, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 15, 2014 Is the nursery open? On earlier cruises it wasn't open yet.
