Dining pass and Cirque

Does anyone one know if NCL is still offering the Cirque Dreams show the first night free if you have the dining pass? I am able reserve the restaurants online without being charged, but when I try to book the cirque show the system charges me. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Yes, I did it on the Epic next month. Have the dining pass and got premium seating the first night for free.

With the ultimate dining package you do get the first night free including premium seating. I bought the UDP for my husband and myself. If you reserve for more then those with the UDP, you still have to pay for them at the time of reservation. For us, that was our 2 kids who do not have the UDP. I don't know if this maybe part of your issue.

The TA my husband and I booked with included the UDP and it it reflected on NCL's account page. I am able to book dining reservations without a problem, but am unable to book the Cirque show for just the two of us without being charged. Did you book prior to boarding or once onboard?

Prior...we haven't sailed yet! I would call NCL directly. They should be able to help. Good luck

I wasn't able to book online without being charged 2 weeks ago on the Breakaway. The show was booked that night, but they still got us in. I'm going back on the BA next week and skipping it. I'm not doing the UDP this time.

Kind of a side question but, how far before embarkation can you begin making dining reservations. My cruise leaves May 3, 2015 so I may be too far out but wasn't sure.

What time does the Cirgue show start? I'm looking at the package but don't want to be rushed.

I believe you can start booking dining reservations 90 days out from your cruise.

There are two shows the first night one is 5:30 and I believe the other is 8:30.

90 days sounds right - we're 87 days out and just made a few reservations. For a week or two prior to that, we could see everything going on but had an "online reservations not availability at this time" notice :)

am I to understand there is a charge for the Cirque show? Or are you talking about specialty dining?

I thought all the onboard shows were free?

There is a charge - it's a dinner show.

Thank you for your help. I expected it was likely a 90 day out sort of thing but just wanted to be sure.

was getting worried they found a way to pinch more pennies through admission to the shows!
