hlb76 Posted December 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 24, 2014 We have 3 other families traveling with us. We want to link our bookings so we can have dinner together. What is the best way to do this? Call the 1-800## or email someone? Can I link us all with me knowing the other booking #s??
firemanbobswife Posted December 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2014 You will need to call Carnival or your TA if you used one and they will take care of this for you.
SadieN Posted December 24, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 24, 2014 You need to have the booking numbers of all the cabins when you contact Carnival.
Swampbaby Posted December 24, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 24, 2014 On our first cruise I was able to link 5 cabins. Only had names for two of the other cabins, all 5 cabin numbers, and only my booking number. Took all of 5 minutes with a phone call to Carnival. I had booked through Carnival and the others booked through a local travel agency who stated they could not link us for dinner - which is what we wished to do. factotumdeb Posted December 24, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 24, 2014 i usually have been able to take care of the linking bookings for whoever is traveling with us. but I just called and was told that I needed not only the other cabin's booking number, but also their pin # and because the other cabin was booked thru a travel agent, carnival could not link it for us, even tho she was looking at the bookings on her computer. :( should I call again and try someone else or is this new. just cruised last month and did it for some last minute bookings?? thanks in advance for anyone's input. SHayesShip Posted December 24, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 24, 2014 Technically what you were told is the proper procedure and "by the book". Call back and try again. If that does not work have the members who booked through the TA contact CCL and get it straightened out. i usually have been able to take care of the linking bookings for whoever is traveling with us. but I just called and was told that I needed not only the other cabin's booking number, but also their pin # and because the other cabin was booked thru a travel agent, carnival could not link it for us, even tho she was looking at the bookings on her computer. :( should I call again and try someone else or is this new. just cruised last month and did it for some last minute bookings?? thanks in advance for anyone's input. poohnpals Posted December 24, 2014 #9 Share Posted December 24, 2014 I called twice and was told the other person had to call their TA since it was not directly through Carnival. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
HawkIVette Posted December 24, 2014 #10 Share Posted December 24, 2014 (edited) I used to be able to just call and give the other cabin numbers, but on our most recent cruise (3 weeks ago), I had to have each party call in their own cabin to link to the group. I was told originally that I could give cabin numbers along with their PIN's but felt that was not right to have others PIN's. So just had each party call in their own request. serene56 Posted December 24, 2014 #11 Share Posted December 24, 2014 I would have EVERY party link the cabins-=- that way more the merrier. and no chance of a mistake Linking will work if you all have traditional dining. If you or anyone else has anytime dining no need to link the bookings
factotumdeb Posted December 25, 2014 #12 Share Posted December 25, 2014 thanks for all your replies. my elderly parents booked with a travel agent in another state, so I was trying to "take care" of as much as possible for them, but with not being able to, mom will just call her agent and get us linked together.
