Dave4120 Posted January 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2015 Hello... while on a cruise last Spring, we booked onboard, cabin 8044 for this comings Spring cruise. This cabin is a Junior Suite on the Grandeur. I know the ship was given a facelift, etc, but read on a Grandeur review, that our particular room has a pole in the room. The person posting did not go into any other detail except to mention there was a pole in the room. I read on another post, that someone else had a pole at the foot of the bed in their JS cabin. Is this something we should be concerned about and try to switch to another JS cabin? Has anyone ever been in a JS on the Grandeur with a pole in the room that can go into further detail? Thank-you very much for your time and assistance. Dave
cb at sea Posted January 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2015 (edited) I don't think the "pole" should concern you....it's there, but it's just a pole! Some folks will dance with it!!! Edited January 1, 2015 by cb at sea
FTPCruiser Posted January 4, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Does the cabin comes with a dancer? Or maybe that pole is what they meant when they mentioned exercise program on the brochure!
Dave4120 Posted January 4, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted January 4, 2015 There are too many answers I could respond back with, but, I will keep this a true PG site and just chuckle. Thanks for the laugh. Dave
sbbquilter Posted January 5, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2015 We had such a room last year and didn't even notice it after the first day. It was our first JS and we were just enjoying the cruise.
Aplmac Posted January 6, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 6, 2015 That pole stops decks above and below your deck from collapsing. Be glad it's there. This is so not an issue. .
