Changing future cruise while onboard

We're sailing on the Legend in 3 weeks and I'm wondering if it's possible to change our already booked cruises to something different while we're onboard.

Sure, as long as the cruises are booked direct, i.e., no travel agent.

I tried to do this last time I was on board. Had a reservation already made on a previous ship that I wanted to change and also book another cruise to do a back to back. They wouldn't help me with the existing reservation, which doesn't make sense because I booked with a loyalty ambassador onboard! They gave me a number to call to royal and would let me use their phone for free, but I ended up not doing it.

 

Maybe it was just the person at the desk at that time
