jamscckmc Posted January 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2015 Looking at the French door interior staterooms. I remember reading here before that some of the rooms views are not completely obstructed. Is it the rooms that look like they are between the life boats? Thanks! southbayer Posted January 13, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2015 I had a room like that.... I got lucky it was right between the two life boats... But only prob was, those two doors rattled all the time, they tried to fix it, but couldn't .... Good thing I'm a sound sleeper.
legion3 Posted January 13, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 13, 2015 My sister had 4122 and had a great view between the lifeboats (4123 other side) We had to have a quad cabin and we had 4194 which had a good view between the lifeboats, not as good as 4122, one door was blocked the other not. (4195 on the other side)
legion3 Posted January 13, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2015 Here was our view of Cozumel from 4194 and at sea 4122 had a better view unfortunately I did not take pics of my sisters cabin
jordanaire Posted January 13, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 13, 2015 We had a French Door cabin on the Spirit during our 15-day cruise to Hawaii in '12. We didn't have a good view (lifeboat in the way) but it was nice to open it up at night and listen to the waves. In the mornings, we'd open the doors to let fresh air and sunshine into our cabin. Highly recommend these cabins, view or not! :cool:Bill
bradm77 Posted January 13, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 13, 2015 We had 4123 which had a nice view.
AEPi71 Posted January 13, 2015 #9 Share Posted January 13, 2015 We have 4123 in September. My understanding is it's between two boats with a ladder contraption in the middle. Not as good as across the hall, but a better view than most in the category?
utopiagal Posted January 13, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 13, 2015 We had 4196 on the Miracle. Loved the cabin. We were between two lifeboats and loved the sunlight that came in our cabin. Would highly recommend as we got this cabin for the price on an interior.

jjmsbu09 Posted January 14, 2015 #12 Share Posted January 14, 2015 I was in 4148 on the Legend (sister ship) I was between lifeboats. Great view and so nice to take an afternoon nap with doors open and have a breeze for an interior price. Sent from my iPad using Forums

birdy Posted January 15, 2015 #14 Share Posted January 15, 2015 We have a french door on the Pride in Feb. Can anyone tell me if we could use a wedge to hold open the door or is there a lip that would make the door off the floor too much? I see in one pic they used the couch cushion to hold open the door. AEPi71 Posted January 15, 2015 #15 Share Posted January 15, 2015 Got 4123! Thanks! When are you sailing? We're in that room in September, would love to see what you thought about it.
K&P Luv2Cruise Posted January 15, 2015 #16 Share Posted January 15, 2015 We have a french door on the Pride in Feb. Can anyone tell me if we could use a wedge to hold open the door or is there a lip that would make the door off the floor too much? I see in one pic they used the couch cushion to hold open the door. Both doors open, however there is a little trick you can use to keep the door(s) open. If you open the primary door first, and push it open to the furthest point, get the other person in the cabin with you to open the secondary door just a little (it will only open so far before hitting the bed) and place 'something' (we used the waste bin from under the desk area) between it and the plexiglass to prevent it from closing, then release the primary door. The primary door will stay open by itself when using the above method. Remember though, if you remove the stopper for the secondary door, the primary door will swing shut QUICKLY. We have had 4140 numerous times on the Miracle, and like the 4K's so much, we have 4148 booked for our Pride voyage in March 2016. Have a great cruise ! jamscckmc Posted January 16, 2015 Author #18 Share Posted January 16, 2015 ??? For bradm77. Since you were in 4123 can you tell us if there was a structure between the life boats that prevented a clear view?
sjcruiser Posted January 16, 2015 #19 Share Posted January 16, 2015 Looking at the French door interior staterooms. I remember reading here before that some of the rooms views are not completely obstructed. Is it the rooms that look like they are between the life boats? Thanks! Yes, these are some of the best bargains onboard. I had one on the Pride, and the location was perfect, since it was a last minute cruise, and we chose the room after the price dropped the next week. jamscckmc Posted January 22, 2015 Author #21 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Looks like my French door stateroom on the starboard side is right above a large smoking area. Anyone have an issue with opening their French doors and smelling smoke? I want to be able to open my doors.

jamscckmc Posted January 22, 2015 Author #24 Share Posted January 22, 2015 4123. Looks like a large outside area on deck 3 starboard. I felt lucky to get one of the ones between the lifeboats but will be unhappy if I can't open the doors. I would assume now that you can't smoke on the balconies any more that there are more people smoking in the designated areas.
jamscckmc Posted January 22, 2015 Author #25 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Meant to say large smoking areas on deck 3 below 4123
