Sky Suite Questions

I'm in my first Sky Suite (S1) on Constellation coming up. I've never done this class of room on Celebrity. I've done a Jr Suite and Grand Suite on RCCL. Which is closer to a Sky Suite?

Do we get the same perks as the other suite classes? If not then what's different?

Thanks! :D

Hi Dickie -

Hope you have a wonderful time on your cruise. What is the date of your sailing? Did you do a search to see what has already been discussed on this topic? ;)

Here are a few threads for your reading pleasure. After all this, if you still have any specific questions, come back and let us know. :)

Yup I've done many searches and none seem to answer my questions directly. I'm tired of searching and reading so I'm posting here for a fresh set of answers. Hey it's what the boards are for right? :D

Check out the threads I gave you and I think they will answer your questions. If nothing else, they are quite entertaining.

Hey Trickie, I'd love to answer your question, but sadly the budget does not allow such a grand booking for me. Enjoy your cruise!

How's your weather out there? We're enjoying a balmy -17 this morning!

-21C here in Winnipeg. Which is much warmer than yesterday's -28C! :D

When is your sailing? If it is after April, then you will be able to eat in the suite dining room. Presently, you can eat in Blu for breakfast every morning and dinner on a space available basis.

You also get a complimentary dinner in a specialty restaurant if your cruise is five nights or longer.

You also have a butler that will bring you tea and goodies in the afternoon and will serve in-cabin meals if you would like that.

The higher classes of suites (Celebrity etc.) get access to Michael's club.

I'm in my first Sky Suite (S1) on Constellation coming up. I've never done this class of room on Celebrity. I've done a Jr Suite and Grand Suite on RCCL. Which is closer to a Sky Suite?

Most RCCL Jr. Suites are 297 square ft.,M Class S1's are 251 square ft. We were on the Constellation during Thanksgiving (great ship) in a S1 and indeed it was a lot smaller then our Jr. Suite on the Liberty of the Seas the prior Thanksgiving. F.Y.I, Celebrity S Class S1's are 300 square ft. which would be the same as RCCL Junior Suites. Enjoy your cruise :)

Like all the others have asked the date of your sailing is important because after April 1st of 2015 new suite perks are introduced.

Also on the Connie if you have sky suite 6145 or 6146 they are much different than other sky suites.

Please list your suite # and date of sailing then the board can answer your questions with more accuracy

6131 is a nice cabin, with an oversided balcony. However, many cabins will be able to look directly into the cabin, there is no privacy.

Someone else covered the size, it will be smaller than a grand suite on Royal.

Grand Suites are considered full suites on RCCL and get full suite benefits. Jr Suites are not. The differentiation on Celebrity is between Sky Suites (not quite a full suite) and Celebrity (full suite, most benefits). Though the Celebrity suite has a separate bedroom, the grad suite does not.

This being said, I think you'll find the service on Celebrity in a Sky Suite very high. You'll have a butler that can help with special requests, receive many of the in cabin amenities you'd expect from a grand suite such as upgraded bath products, robes, wine, priority boarding, etc. You won't have a suite lounge however in a sky suite.

As has been said, you will have a different dining room option as of April, 2015.

Happy sailing,

Jenna
