stonepebble Posted March 16, 2015 #26 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Hi DV, I've been asking you questions on the Copenhagen site...but we are going to Skagen as well! Have you found out anything more about getting around in Skagen? We would like to go to Grennan. I know we can take Sandormen train to the tip. We would like to go to the Museum & Ancher house which I believe are within walking distance of the ship. But we would also like to see the buried church which is completely opposite direction of Grenan. I looked at a map and it had a picture of a bus on it! Thanks for any help! masspector Posted January 7, 2016 #27 Share Posted January 7, 2016 Looks like this isn't a very active thread but I will give it a try. Visiting in April 2016. Have several questions. Want to visit Grenen, Bunker Museum, Skagen Fyr, beach bunkers around Grenen campground, and visit town. Was planning on renting a bike, bike to Grenen area first, then Bunker museum, bunker near there, then Skagen Fyr, then beach bunkers, then back to town, return bike and walk around. Questions: Best/cheapest bike rental? I think there is one right when you get off the ship and some near the tourist office. Will we get a lock with our rental? Want to leave bikes and walk around beach, etc. Can you leave bike in Grenen parking area and walk to beach? Would use Sandworm but do not want to have to get cash. Can you easily public access the bunker on the beach near the Bunker Museum? Is there public beach access to the bunkers near Grenen campground? If so, where? Thanks for any help
Danish viking Posted January 10, 2016 #28 Share Posted January 10, 2016 I had the pleasure to visit Skagen for the first time last summer so my experience is rather limited. The trip from the parking lot to Grenen is rather long and I´m guessing that it will take 20-30 minutes to walk. But Sandormen only take cash. http://www.sandormen.dk/en/ Bike rental is either 80 or 90 kroner for 24 hours. All are with locks so you can savely park you bike at the Grenen information center/parking lot. http://www.cykeludlejning-skagen.dk/priser http://skagen-cykeludlejning.dk/?page_id=18 All beaches in Denmark has public access so yes you can visit the beach near the bunker museum. I remember that they have marked some bike/walking routes around the area all in difference distances.
