Dinner open seating question

:confused:I chose "open seating" for dinner. I noticed on a board listing dining times that open is from 5:15-9 and fixed are 5:30 and 7:45. BUT there was also a note saying dining room doors close 15 minutes after fixed seating times!! Does that mean I really only have open 5:15-5:45 to be seated for dinner????

For Open Dining you can show up anytime, 5 - 9, but there are times that you may not get seated immediately, you may have a short wait for a table. You can make a reservation ahead of time (call dining reservations on your room phone) for 5- 5:45 or 7:45 and after. In between those times you just come to the door and they'll seat you as soon as a table opens. They'll ask if you want to share (larger table) or dine just with your party. Really, it all works quite well. I love the flexibility. m--

Not sure what ship you will be on, but the fixed dining times do vary. Some ships have fixed at 5:30 and 7:45; some have the times for 5:45 and 8. Fixed dining is suppose to close the doors after 15 minutes. But we have seen people arrive 1/2 later and no one stopped them.

Open Seating. On all the ships we have been on it is from 5:15 to 9. You can make reservations for 3 days at a time for any size table you want. But there is a catch. You can only make reservations for the times between 5:15 - 6:15 and for the times between 7:30 - 9.
