A little confused as to the "hibachi" aspect of Izumi.

Is this like teppanyaki where they cook in front of you on the hot grill with knives, forks and food flying around, or is this simply food cooked and served on hot rocks?

It is like teppanyaki where they cook in front of you. We did it in November and thought it was good but not great.

No. I believe it is only on the Oasis right now.

We booked it while on the ship. I just walked into the restaurant on day 4 and made a reservation for day 5.

I had the option in My Cruise Planner for my May sailing to reserve Izumi for either hibachi or the sushi side. They were listed like separate restaurants.
