Cruiser Bruiser Posted January 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Does anyone know what type of specials they might have on port days. Message, mani/pedi, facials?? If your ship has a thermal suite, you will likely be able to buy a day pass. I bought one on Epic last month for $45 and I thought it was a bargain. asubaru Posted January 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Most everything. They just rip you off a little less on port days. I disagree; relatively speaking, they are not a rip off. Their pricing is comparable to upscale spas that I have been to in Las Vegas. I can think of (2) services I had on the ship that were less than what I paid in LV last month. Oh, and the LV spa's auto gratuity was 20% vs Mandara's 18%. Now, if you think all upscale spas are rip-offs, "to each their own"
DMH15 Posted January 19, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Most everything. They just rip you off a little less on port days. Last I checked nobody is twisting your arm. Spa is optional.
Love my butler Posted January 19, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Last I checked nobody is twisting your arm. Spa is optional. Good information but I think anyone past middle school knows that. Not sure what your post was supposed to accomplish?
RIvacationgirl Posted January 19, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 19, 2015 In my little experience, they tend to post the port day specials on a little sign at the check-in area of the spa. If you have some time during the day, you can walk right in and take a peek at them. I have done one that was a little bit of several treatments put together, and it was reasonably priced. I have also been able to get a bargain if you go into the spa on the afternoon of initial embarkation, and been able to get a discount on early morning treatments on sail days. They are usually for early booking times, and I am a early riser so it works out for me. As for the prices, I have found them to be very competitive, and I have had treatments in a variety of tourist places around the country. I hope this has helped a little! jmv Posted January 19, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Thanks everyone I will check daily and see what might be a good deal for me.
PCLMassachusetts Posted January 20, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 20, 2015 They also post them in the daily's, no need to go to spa to check. You can also book a time later in the day on the port day and still get the special. My wife booked one for 330, allowing us to spend most of the day in port and then she got her spa treatment.
