WahooFan Posted January 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2015 We are booked with an extended balcony and from what I can see in pictures the bacony has a door that swings. I am used to sliding balcony doors and we like to keep the air off and the balcony door open at night so we can hear the ocean as we are drifting off to sleep. Is there a stopper so you can keep the door open or do you have to be creative and use a chair? Or am I looking at the picture wrong and the door actually slides. Thanks. bar1068 Posted January 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2015 We were in an extended balcony, 5120 on Pride last September, balcony door opened in, no slider.
BDK Posted January 23, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 23, 2015 We atke a bungee cord with us to keep the door open. Have not sailed on Pride yet, bot others will turn off AC when door is open.
BigDoug Posted January 23, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) Bring a bungee cord to keep the door open. The air will shut off when the door is open unless you bring a magnet to fool the switch. Make sure the balcony door is closed before attempting to open the cabin door. A powerful wind current will flow through the cabin otherwise. Edited January 23, 2015 by BigDoug
nokidz Posted January 23, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 23, 2015 We were on an extended balcony on the Pride last Oct. The doors swing open. I used a camera bag strap to keep the door open.
greenline Posted January 24, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Yep the A/C shuts off when you open the door kind of sucks. On RC they slide like them open at night.
